
Edward Villella
Distinguished as the greatest male ballet dancer in America, Edward Villella created the world-renowned Miami City Ballet in 1986 and today holds the title of artistic director. Revolutionizing the way men danced in America, Villella was awarded with the 1997 National Medal of Arts and was named the Kennedy Center Honoree. Today, as a member in the Florida Artists Hall of Fame and the only American ever to perform an encore at Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, Villella serves on the Board of Trustees of the School of American Ballet.
