The Miami Day Date to Book Now: Ottoman Lunch at Topkapi, Then a Turkish Hammam for Two
An Ottoman-inspired lunch at Topkapi Restaurant, then a traditional Turkish hammam ritual: Hürrem Hammam in North Miami makes a great day for two.
Looking for a Miami day date that goes beyond brunch? At Hürrem Hammam in North Miami, an Ottoman-inspired lunch and a traditional Turkish hammam ritual come under one roof.
Topkapi Restaurant, the Turkish restaurant tucked inside Hürrem Hammam Wellness & Spa at 14652 Biscayne Boulevard, is now open to the public. Guests can dine without booking a hammam treatment or spa service, and the restaurant is open daily from 12 to 8:30 p.m., whether for lunch, dinner or simply a Turkish coffee and baklava.

I spent October 28 there with a guest, starting with lunch at Topkapi before heading into the spa for a 30-minute Hammam Ritual Kese and a 50-minute Resilient Warrior treatment. It was a great day, and a great couple experience.

What to Order at Topkapi
The menu showcases the breadth of Turkish cuisine. Begin with traditional mezes and a refreshing watermelon and feta salad, then move on to hearty entrées including whole branzino and lamb and chicken kebabs, prepared with the aromatic flavors and spices characteristic of the cuisine. For something sweet, there is an assortment of baklavas, and an expansive selection of Turkish coffees and teas makes it easy to linger long after the meal.

The setting is every bit as immersive as the menu, blending contemporary design with classic Ottoman influences and bringing Turkish cuisine and hospitality into a one-of-a-kind Miami wellness destination.

A Day for Two
To turn lunch into the full experience, pair a meal at Topkapi with a Hürrem Hammam Day Pass, which opens up the 20,000-square-foot co-ed spa: the Grand Hammam, herbal and rustic saunas, a steam room, a hydromassage pool, the Arctic Room, a Himalayan Salt Room, rain and cold bucket showers, relaxation areas and more. Because the spa is co-ed, couples can move through it together.

Hürrem Hammam is known for its traditional hammam rituals, a spa journey inspired by centuries-old Turkish tradition. Treatments include the 30-minute Hammam Ritual Kese and the 50-minute Hürrem Experience and Resilient Warrior. A Day Pass is required for all spa services, with weekday and weekend rates that vary, and the spa asks guests to arrive 60 minutes before a treatment to check in and enjoy the facilities first.

Plan Your Visit
Bring a bathing suit; robes, slippers and peshtamals are provided, and refreshments are served as guests move between the Turkish hammam, the saunas, the steam room and the relaxation lounges.
