Christopher Collins

News | July 28, 2012
If you watch Project Runway regularly, then you might already know who Christopher Collins is. Known for his one-of-a-kind ensembles, Collins caught the eye of Tim Gunn from Project Runway. With his blend of raw talent, sincere charisma, and ambitious detail, there is no doubt he was a perfect candidate for the show. With ten years of fashion experience, his pieces demostrate everything a woman would want: quality, luxury, high fashion, and a touch of femininity. While working hard to earn his degree in fashion design at San Francisco State University, he worked as a visual merchandiser for Neiman Marcus, gaining an eye for whats haute and whats not. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to design for two well-known fashion designers, Tadashi and Dina Bar-el. He finally launched his first collection after moving back to San Francisco in 2008. The collection included fine silks and tailored Elizabethan collars that caught the attention of many. When asked about his design philosophy, Christopher Collins simply answers with a smile, “To make someone feel beautiful, fresh, natural and new.”
