First Booze-Selling Starbucks In L.A. Area To Be In Calabasas, Calif.

News | March 22, 2012

People will have even more of a reason to be addicted to Starbucks because it’s no longer a myth—not just a possibility or probability, but fact. Coming soon to a Starbucks near you: alcohol on the menu.

One franchise in Calabasas applied for a permit to sell liquor and beer last week, Eater LA reported. It’s the second Starbucks to apply to a permit (the first was in Coronado, Calif.), and it’s rumored that other locations in Southern California will follow suit. Hopefully it will become the norm for the almost 20,000 Starbucks locations worldwide.

No word on exactly the location on 26531 Agoura Road will start to sell booze, but Starbucks in the Pacific Northwest have already started. Beer costs $5 while wine can go for $7 to $9.

Starbucks is also rolling out small plates and savory items to pair with the alcohol. It just keeps getting better and better.
