Manolo Blahnik Opens First West Coast Boutique at South Coast Plaza
Manolo Blahnik has officially arrived in Southern California with the opening of its newest boutique at South Coast Plaza, bringing the house’s refined, art-driven world to one of the region’s most beloved luxury destinations. It’s a meaningful moment for the brand, marking its first standalone West Coast location and expanding its presence for the devoted California clients who have championed the label for decades.

Designed in collaboration with longtime architectural partner Nick Leith-Smith, the boutique leans into a bold black-and-white palette and crisp geometric shapes that feel both modern and unmistakably Manolo. A circular motif sweeps from the façade into the custom rugs and wallpaper, while rotating wall slats create sculptural shelving that can shift with each new collection. Even the seating, upholstered in a tailored English houndstooth, adds a quiet nod to the house’s heritage. One of the most intimate elements is a full-scale recreation of Manolo Blahnik’s personal workstation, complete with his favorite tools and photographs. It offers a rare glimpse into the creative ritual behind every pair of Manolos and adds a narrative touch that sets this boutique apart.

The store opened with the Winter 2025 collection, a vibrant mix of color, texture, and cross-disciplinary references that highlight the designer’s signature blend of imagination and craftsmanship. It’s a space that feels equal parts gallery and boutique, rooted in the artistry that has defined the house for more than fifty years.
