EDITION Hotels Is Taking Over Montauk This Summer

The Hamptons has no shortage of summer programming—between bespoke restaurants and parties—but EDITION Hotels is arriving on the East End next weekend with something that operates on a different level entirely. On July 24th and 25th, the brand will transform The Crow’s Nest — the iconic Montauk property on Lake Montauk — into the second installment of The Summer EDITION, a global pop-up residency series presented by American Express and available exclusively to Platinum Card and Centurion Members.

The programming spans two days and touches nearly every register of a well-constructed summer weekend. The anchor is a pair of intimate dinner seatings helmed by Chef Mauro Colagreco — the three-Michelin-star, green-star-awarded chef behind Mirazur and the newly opened Centino at The Lake Como EDITION — who will present a multi-course tasting menu built around peak-season Montauk ingredients: tomatoes, peaches, fresh burrata, lobster, Chilean sea bass, garden herbs, and citrus, expressed through his signature Argentinian-Italian lens. Each evening is accompanied by a live performance by Grammy Award-winning jazz musician Brian Newman and his band, with cocktails inspired by EDITION properties across the globe — from the Riviera Maya to Miami Beach to Barcelona — served as the sun sets over the lake.

The cultural dimension of the weekend comes courtesy of Ben Watts, the photographer and Hamptons fixture who has called Montauk home since 1995. Works from his Montauk archive will be presented across the two-day residency, and Watts will be shooting throughout both evenings — building a new body of work from the weekend as it unfolds.

On Saturday, July 25th, EDITION introduces its first-ever Summer EDITION Day Retreat, a daytime session running from 11 AM to 3 PM for $100. Guests move at their own pace between fitness classes with Barry’s Bootcamp, wellness sessions with Remedy Place — including sound healing and ice bath plunges — and an Augustinus Bader SPF station, all set against The Crow’s Nest’s indoor-outdoor spaces and private stretch of lakefront. A relaxed seasonal lunch draws from EDITION’s global portfolio, and Watts’s archive provides quiet counterpoint throughout.

The first Summer EDITION took place at El Silencio in Ibiza — the sophisticated beachside outpost from the iconic Parisian brand, tucked into a cove on Ibiza’s western coast. Montauk is the second stop in what is shaping up to be an annual global series, and the fit between EDITION’s culture-forward sensibility and the bohemian, sun-bleached energy of the East End is a natural one.
