The summer months are always busy for me: it’s the height of tournament season, and my training and traveling schedules are at their peaks. However, summer also happens to be my favorite time of the year because warm weather and sunshine is basically guaranteed. One of my favorite aspects of summer is the fact that I get to experience the season in so many places—London, Paris, New York, California, and more. Wherever I go, people are having more fun because it’s summer. Though I only have a few small windows outside of my training and playing schedules to really embrace the summer mindset, the attitude shift that comes with hotter weather and long sunny days (and let’s not forget those sultry summer nights) is infectious.
