A Piece of Paris on Madison Avenue

MillesimeDR

Laurent Manrique has brought quite the French feel to Millessime at the Carlton Hotel. The menu is classic and the ambiance is Parisian chic so it’s a must try for all Francophiles as well as those looking for a romantic night out.

Manrique, an internationally celebrated restaurateur and Michelin-starred chef, has hired Chef Seadon Shouse who delights with his bouillabaisse and other seafood dishes which range from freshly shucked oysters to classically prepared halibut and cod.

Some menu favorites include Vera’s Deviled Eggs (Smoked Sprats, Garlic Chips, Espelette, Scallion); Grilled Octopus (Chick Peas, Tomato-Basil Pistou, Garlic & Celery); Mediterranean Sea Bream (Swiss Chard, Grilled Scallions & Smoked Ham Broth) and Saffron Rigatoni (Lobster, trumpet mushrooms & lobster Coral Butter).

If you aren’t up for a full dinner, the scene at the Carlton Hotel is perfectly romantic for a date night out. The bar has live music, which ranges from jazz trios to sultry piano singers, and the restaurant upstairs is a perfect place to not only eat but also relax.
