Haute Event: Viper Club Celebrates The Debut Of The 2013 SRT Viper at Skylight Soho

On Wednesday April 4, over 500 collectors, designers and Viper enthusiasts celebrated the return of SRT Viper super-car at a swanky soiree at Skylight Soho.

The event welcomed members of the international Viper Club and unveiled the 2013 SRT Viper before being shown to the public at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. As if the reveal of an all new 2013 SRT Viper wasn’t news enough, SRT President and CEO Ralph Gilles also presented the 2013 Viper GTS-R, designed specifically to compete in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS).

Party-goers nibbled on a feast of decadent dishes and sipped on speciality “Venom” cocktails inspired by the Viper, toasting to the return of ‘The Snake” after a two-year hiatus. The event also featured a live and silent auction featuring a number of Viper items including a production front hood and  a Viper ALMS team racing suit.

The ticket proceeds from the exclusive event benefited the New York Police and Fire Windows and Children Benefit Fund, raising a staggering $50,000.00. At the event, it was also announced that Viper #1 would be auctioned off on June 22nd at the Barrett Jackson car auction in Orange County with all proceeds benefiting The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.
