No Plans for Father’s Day? Check Out the Luxury Cars at the Northpark Autoshow

At a loss for Father’s Day plans? Brunch mimosas and a few flowers may had worked for Mom, but Dads are a little trickier to please. You know a day of shopping is out, and you can’t imagine yourself throwing pig parts on a grill or trudging along side him on a scalding hot golf course,  carrying clubs like a pack mule. Luckily, there’s something you both may enjoy. Drop the Asti Spumante and go for for the Aston Martin, one of the many ultra-luxe cars on display at Northpark Center.

The final day of the month-long auto show is this Sunday, so it’s the perfect opportunity to get your dose of horsepower. More than 25 cars and trucks from several manufacturers will be on display, including the James Bond-mobile Aston Martin, both DBS and V8 Vantage models, 2010 models of Lamborghinis, Porsches, Cadillacs and more. If you want to get a glimpse of the new rides the Dallas Police Department will be sporting starting this year, here’s your chance. The black and white Chargers will sport  custom graphic designs, an LED lighting system and reflective decals on the rear and front bumpers to increase visibility. You may try to be pulled over just to get a better look. Maybe not.

Bonus: Get there Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and check out AAA’s Road Trip 101 discussion, where you’ll learn tons of valuable tips for making your car ready for the open road.

The Northpark Autoshow  runs through June 20 at NorthPark Center, 8687 N. Central Expressway in Dallas
