Haute 100 lister Jennifer Lawrence is lending her celebrity star power for a space documentary. Lawrence is narrating the documentary titled A Beautiful Planet, which is touted to allow one to “experience Earth like never before.”
Directed by Toni Myers, the film features the Academy Award-winner describing the things that are happening to the planet that we here on Earth are unable to see. She says, “Aboard the International Space Station a crew of astronauts from around the globe capture the wonders of our world as few can. From this unique vantage point we gain insight into the impact that we have on the environment and witness what humankind can accomplish when you work together.”
As stated on the site, A Beautiful Planet “is a breathtaking portrait of Earth from space, providing a unique perspective and increased understanding of our planet and galaxy as never seen before. Made in cooperation with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the film features stunning footage of our magnificent blue planet — and the effects humanity has had on it over time — captured by the astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS). In addition to being part of A Beautiful Planet, Lawrence penned a touching tribute to Adele in TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2016. Lawrence wrote, “She’s an extremely private person, so I will do my best to honor her privacy. But we all see her success. Her undeniable talent and beauty. But what you don’t see is what a wonderful mother she is. What a wonderful partner and friend she is. That she makes her son’s Halloween costumes. Adele is a gift, an international treasure, but she’s also sweet, funny, intelligent and beautiful.”
