Caesars Creates the World’s Largest Negroni, and You Can Drink It

Tony Abou-Ganim Francesco LaFranconi, Livo Lauro and more creat the Worlds Oldest BarrelAged Negroni

Mixologists Eddie Perales, Francesco Lafranconi and “The Modern Mixologist” Tony Abou-Ganim made history on Thursday, May 14, when they created the world’s largest barrel-aged Negroni. Aged for two weeks, the Negroni will be available at numerous Caesars Entertainment outlets for $7 between June 1-7. The company plans to donate $1 from every Negroni purchase to Three Square Food Bank.

Greeted with top hats and fake moustaches in honor of the famed Count Camilo Negroni, creator of the Negroni, guests were treated to Negronis.

Tony Abou-Ganim gave an introduction and a brief history of the drink before turning the microphone over to Francesco Lafranconi, who explained the significance of the Negroni and the event. “This is the most classic cocktail we have in Italy,” stated Lafranconi to guests.

After a toast to the Negroni, guests were invited up to begin pouring ingredients into the barrel.
The world’s largest barrel-aged Negroni is composed of 96 bottles of Campari, 96 bottles of Bulldog Gin and 96 bottles of Cinzano 1757 aged in a 53-gallon Wild Turkey barrel. The barrel will be on display until June 1st at Le Central, when it will be cracked open and distributed in smaller barrels at bars throughout the Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas properties.

Participating outlets include: Voodoo Steak, iBar and Martorano’s at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino; Signature Bar, Piano Bar, Carnaval Court and Bill’s Bar at Harrah’s Las Vegas; TAG Sports Bar, Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar, O’Sheas, 3535 and Catalyst Bar at The LINQ Hotel & Casino; Lobby Bar and Rao’s at Caesars Palace; Center Cut at Flamingo Las Vegas; Sully’s and BLT Steak at Bally’s Las Vegas; Le Central and Gustav’s at Paris Las Vegas and Heart Bar at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
