Basement Sate Launches New Menu

Basement Sate, Soho’s only cocktail and dessert bar, has recently launched a new menu, created by newly appointed Pastry Chef, Kelly Nadiarian. The menu will continue to offer a carefully crafted selection of beautifully made desserts and expertly prepared cocktails, introducing new fresh flavours and tastes just in time for spring.

Hailing from Paris, pastry chef Kelly’s career was kick started by working in numerous prestigious establishments including luxurious Parisian hotels, such as Le Majestic and Le Royal Monceau. Whilst Kelly was honing her skills whilst working with Pierre Herme at Le Royal Monceau, she was head-hunted by the Mandarin Oriental in London, and went on to work underneath patisserie expert Rudolphe Tronc. From there Kelly then went on to work at exclusive private members club Morton’s before perfecting her patisserie skills at the renowned French pastry shop, Belle Epoque. Kelly will now be bringing her passion of pastry and impressive culinary skills to Basement Sate.

Basement Sate’s new menu comprises an innovative mix of skilfully created cocktails, which use delicate spring flavours throughout, such as vanilla, elderflower and cucumber. These lighter flavourings have been expertly paired with sharper tasting ingredients to create mouth-watering beverages with subtle undertones. New desserts have also been added to the menu; more indulgent than ever and with plenty of chocolate based dishes just in time for Easter. For those who prefer savoury to sweet, a couple of ‘Nibbles’ are also now available, ensuring there’s something for everyone on the menu.

Basement Sate will continue to offer a special drinks and dessert pairing menu on Tuesdays, which consists of 3 desserts and 3 cocktails for £36, perfect for sweet-toothed cocktail aficionados. Cocktail master-classes, priced at £30, are also available throughout the week, where guests will have the chance to learn about the rich history of the chosen cocktail and recreate some classics, which have all been given the Basement Sate touch.
Offering beautifully made desserts, expertly prepared cocktails and cutting edge DJs, Basement Sate provides Londoners with a low key yet stylish late-night hangout in central London. The only of its kind, Basement Sate is the brainchild of Cathleen McGarry, the co-owner of the world-renowned Sherry Butt cocktail bar in Paris.
