Las Vegas welcomed Shake Shack to the Las Vegas Strip in grand fashion during the restaurant’s housewarming party at New York-New York on Tuesday night. The evening kicked off with a ribbon cutting with Shake Shack founder Danny Meyer, who was joined by Shake Shack executives, Commissioner Mary Beth Scow and New York-New York president Cynthia Kiser Murphey.

Guests ate burgers, fries and shakes from Shake Sack, while the Agassi College Preparatory Academy drumline paraded through the casino as Shake Shack team members passed out swag and free custard to casino guests. The drumline made their way over the Brooklyn Bridge (which was turned “green” for the night in honor of the Shake Shack opening), and joined Las Vegas-based band Rusty Maples for a special performance.

Commissioner Scow officially named Jan. 13 “Shake Shack Day” on The Strip and in all of Clark County.

Guests from the culinary world came out to support including former Top Chef contestant and owner of RM Seafood chef Rick Moonen and chef Sam “Sammy D” DeMarco from Travel Channel’s Chow Masters. BMX pro Ricardo Laguna even stopped by to have his first Shake Shack experience.
