Here’s an idea, why not take your valentine bit of performance art. On February 12-17, The National YoungArts Foundation YoungArts Miami program will begin. The Miami chapter is one of three, along with one in Los Angeles and New York. The participating artists will get the opportunity to for scholarships and various life-changing experiences and the audience will get to see free-flowing, young talent before they hit it big. Trust us, there is a good reason heavyweights like Facundo L. Bacardi, Placido Domingo and Haute Ambassador Sarah Arison are on the Board of Trustees. Check out their recent gala here.

The events will incorporate visual, musical, cinematic and design-based pieces, and the festivities begin on Valentine’s Day. At 6:00 p.m., there will be a visual arts, photography, cinematic and design exhibition at the YoungArts campus on Biscayne Boulevard. Later that night, guest can enjoy a jazz combo and writer’s readings for $10. The next day, there will be a multidisciplinary performance by the 2014 winners in dance, music, theater and voice at 8:00 p.m. The last of the events will occur at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and will be a continuation of Saturday’s performance.
