Mark Wahlberg is beloved by everyone from adults to children alike, so it’s no wonder that he’s been asked to host Nickelodeon’s 27th annual Kids’ Choice Awards.

The Lone Survivor star will join the ranks of an elite crowd that includes Josh Duhamel, Will Smith, Jack BlackDwayne Johnson, Justin Timberlake, Rosie O’Donnell, Cameron Diaz, Mike Myers and Ben Stiller when he takes the stage at USC’s Galen Center on March 29.

It’s a coup to have both the Oscar and Golden Globe nominee as acting host of the ceremony, as Russell Hicks, Nickelodeon’s president of content development and production is aware.

“We are thrilled to welcome a superstar like Mark Wahlberg as he takes the helm as our master of ceremonies at the biggest kid event of the year,” he said in a statement. “We can’t wait for him to host and have lots of slime-filled fun with Hollywood’s biggest stars and our audience.”
