The shops at 900 North Michigan keep on coming. Just when you thought it couldn’t get better, the anchor of the Magnificent Mile has recently opened up Sur La Table on Level 3 and Cop. Copine on Level 2. Now we have gotten word on two more luxury brands joining their already stacked assortment of stores. The first is English footwear giant Church’s Shoes opening on Walton Street, which should make lovers of fine footwear extremely happy. And now the ladies will be even happier to hear that Kate Spade will also be joining the party (Level 1). Not that we needed it, but soon we will all have two additional reasons to visit the 900 North Michigan Shops.
Just in case you don’t feel like waiting around for new stores and are interested in what’s going on this month, I have a couple events for you. I already told you about Midsummer 2013 Fashion Show Fundraiser and now comes a couple great events at Lulu’s on the Avenue. The Napier Jewelry Book event
Tuesday August 27 – Lulu’s Vintage – 900 N. Michigan Avenue – 3rd floor 11:00am-2:00pm (open to public) Meet Melinda Lewis, jewelry historian and author of “The Napier Co.: Defining 20th Century American Costume Jewelry”. Purchase or order your autographed copy of this magnificent piece of history, complete with over 4,000 photographs. Laurie Davis, owner and curator of Lulu’s Vintage, will display some of the most notable Napier pieces from her private collection, as well as have a selection of Napier jewelry available for purchase.
Safia Trunk Show
August 30th, 31st and September 1st – Lulu’s Vintage – 900 N. Michigan Avenue – 3rd floor (Open during Shopping Center Hours) Designer Safia Day creates beautiful jewelry…from the simple to the dramatic..using natural mineral, semi-precious and precious stones, which have been worn by Drew Barrymore, Halle Berry, Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, Scarlett Johannson, Julia Roberts and Uma Thurman, to name a few.
