The finest of gastronomic LA was on display over the weekend as some of the finest chefs in Tinseltown came together in the name of charity.

The 29th Annual California Spirit Food & Wine festival raised funds for the American Cancer Society and honored individuals who have proven themselves as renowned philanthropists.

The honorees at this year’s event included Brooke Burke-Charvet, John Shaffner & Joe Stewart of Shaffner/Stewart Production Design, Philomena McAndrew, MD of Tower Hematology Oncology Medical Group at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Solomon I. Hamburg, MD, PhD. of Tower Hematology Oncology Medical Group at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The organization was founded in 1984 by Chef Wolfgang Puck, Barbara Lazaroff and former Paramount Pictures CEO Sherry Lansing.

Lazaroff and Lansing were on hand at the Pacific Design Center over the weekend at the gourmet gala, which featured haute cuisine from Angelini Osteria/RivaBella, Chinois on Main, CUT, The Foundry on Melrose, Hotel Bel-Air, Matsuhisa Beverly Hills, Nonna of Italy, Osteria Mozza, Patina Restaurant, Red O, Red Seven, Rock Sugar Pan Asian Kitchen®, Spago Beverly Hills, Wolfgang Puck Catering, WP24 and Jim Palmer’s.

Contributing wineries included Malibu Vineyards, Revel Wines, Barrymore Wine, Roots and Racine Wine, Mighty Nimble and Bonnie Doon.
