Derrick Rose and the Bulls Help Local School Celebrate

To celebrate Ariel Community Academy’s completion of the Illinois Standards Achievement Test, last Friday the Chicago Bulls hosted a special assembly with more than 600 students from the school. The assembly was also to kick off their spring break. Must have been nice, not only were the kids about to be out of school for a week, they also got the chance to hang out with Derrick Rose, Scottie Pippen and other members of the Bulls Organization.

The assembly included remarks from former Bulls Scottie Pippen and Stacey King, and besides Derrick Rose, there were also appearances from Marco Bellinelli, Daequan Cook, Benny The Bull and The Luvabulls. As an added bonus, there was a special raffle for tickets to the team’s game on April 9th against the Toronto Raptors. Every student received a McDonald’s certificate for a free smoothie, chicken sandwich, fish McBites, fruit and maple oatmeal or premium salad courtesy of Ron Lofton of Lofton and Lofton Management, Inc. I would have loved for one of these types of assemblies when I was in school, the best we ever got was an assembly featuring the talents of the seventh grade band. It’s good to see the Bulls organization really putting time into local schools and children, great way to make a child’s day.
