Adrienne Arsht Center For The Performing Arts Hosts Record-breaking Gala, Headlined by Kevin Costner and Modern West

On April 28th, hundreds of South Florida’s most influential art patrons, philanthropists and business and civic leaders arrived decked in cowboy hats and boots to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County’s sixth annual Gala. Actor Kevin Costner and his rock ‘n’ roll band, Modern West, headlined the 550-person Gala. The event took place under the lights in the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall where attendees enjoyed modern comfort food provided by Barton G. and signature cocktails by Bombay Sapphire and Bacardi USA.

The evening was kicked-off by a performance by Kevin Costner & Modern West, while the Steve Chase Society closed the night with dance music on the Knight Concert Hall stage. This year’s Gala exceeded expectations and was the most successful Gala in the history of the Arsht Center.  Proceeds from the event will go to support the Center’s mission-driven arts education and community outreach programs, which continues to expand throughout Miami-Dade County. Among the Gala attendees were Honorary Chair, businesswoman and philanthropist Adrienne Arsht; Performing Arts Center Trust Chairman Mike Eidson and his wife Dr. Margaret Eidson who served as Gala Chairs; Gala Sponsors Armando and Margarita Codina; and Co-Chairs Dan and Trish Bell, M. Anthony and Joyce Burns, Stanley and Gala Cohen, Robert and Tina Furness-Roe, Kirk Landon and Pamela Garrison, FJ and Abigail Pollak, Jorge and Lorena Rossell, and Gene and Yoly Schaefer. The law firm of Colson Hicks Eidson, Bombay Sapphire, Bacardi USA, The Miami Herald and Barton G. were also sponsors of the Gala.
