Andre Saraiva’s Le Baron New York is Underway

Construction on Andre Saraiva’s Le Baron New York nightclub has been slow but recently significant progress was spotted on the space making some wonder if the December 2011 completion target is actually going to be met.

Long in the works, this New York club from famed club owner Saraiva has finally seen some progress in its construction. The new entrance of the club and the façade work shows an attempt to make Le Baron blend into the neighborhood. The old Yello 32 bar is being turned into the Chinatown outpost of Le Baron, which is now open in three locations worldwide. Le Baron nightclubs are known for being artsy-cool Parisian-style nightclubs.

Saraiva, who is a nightlife entrepreneur and graffiti artist who once plastered much of Paris with his signature “Mr. A” tags, was born in Sweden to Portuguese parents who moved to Paris. Among other things, Saraiva runs club Paris Paris and restaurant Le Fidelite in Paris and Hotel Ermitage in Saint Tropez.
