Grand Opening of Le Cirque at The Leela Palace New Delhi

On September 13th Le Cirque at The Leela Palace New Delhi had its grand opening. The Leela Palace New Delhi is the most expensive hotel ever to be built in India and the first hotel in New Delhi designed to Gold LEED certification standards. The opening events included parties and luncheons attended by foreign ambassadors and other elite figures. Two leaders in luxury hospitality teamed up to host the grand opening events; Sirio Maccioni, founder of the Le Cirque restaurant group, and Captain C.P. Krishnan Nair , chairman of The Leela Palaces, Hotels, and Resorts made a fabulous duo.

Le Cirque at The Leela Palace New Delhi was designed by Spin Studio of Japan with a modern and elegant feel, appropriate for the most high-end hotel in the country. A luxury restaurant resides on the 10th floor of the hotel, built to accommodate 144 people, and fully equipped with an open kitchen and Chef’s Table. The menu features both traditional Italian dishes as well as Indian and vegetarian fare. Keeping in style with Le Cirque in New York and Las Vegas, the walls are decorated with photos of Sirio Maccioni with an array of his celebrity guests including everyone from Paris Hilton and Woody Allen to Bill Clinton and Pope John Paul II.
