Save the Date: 32nd Annual Imagine Fashion Show

On Thursday, May 19, one of the most exciting fashion shows of the year will be taking place at the UIC Forum Stage at 8 p.m. Students of The International Academy of Design & Technology produce the show that showcase over 100 pieces by 40 designers and their great design talents! The evening will be emceed by ABC 7’s Val Warner and there will be an amazing performance by Kristinia DeBarge.

Travis Reed who is the Creative Marketing Director says they “plan to inspire Chicagoan designers and residents this year to broaden fashion horizons and stimulate our economy. Everything this year is larger- stage, audience, model cast, venue, effects, etc.” The students of IADT play a role in every aspect of the show and this extravgent night would not be possible without all of their hard work. There will be Ford and Factor Models, one of a kinda garments, and a panel of local fashion insiders/experts. The show will be filled with categories such as daywear, swimwear, cocktail, evening, wearbale art, and McQueen inspired gowns in honor of the great Alexander McQueen!

Nora Del Busto, who won Latino Fashion Week in 2008 and was also chosen for Macy’s 2009 Fashion Incubator program will be honored as a former IADT graduate. Another former graduate, LaTonya Williams who is recently in the Kenmore Live Studio’s competition “So You Wanna Be A Designer” will be honored as well. This is one night of fashion not to be missed! A portion of ticket sale proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Go online to get a seat to the show.
