Haute Voyage: Exploring Southeast Asia with the Orient Express and St. Regis

Evoking the romantic era at the turn of the 20th century when time spent travelling was as anticipated as the destination itself, the Orient-Express and St. Regis have teamed up to offer a range of unique experiences to guests travelling between Singapore and Bangkok aboard the Eastern and Oriental Express (E&O).

The first of the partnership initiatives, ‘Relive the Golden Age of Travel with a St. Regis – Eastern & Oriental Express Luxury Package’ offers guests a three-day journey across the Malay Peninsula and accommodation at the St. Regis Singapore and the newly-opened St. Regis Bangkok at either end of the trip.

There will also be a series of voyages aimed at the most discerning of travellers as part of the St. Regis Aficionado programme, including ‘Caroline Astor’s Expedition on the E&O Package’, which follows in the footsteps of the St. Regis founder and former matriarch of American high society.

The four-day journey begins on the 4th of June in Singapore, and includes stop-offs at Kuala Lumpur, Penang and the River Kwai. The package also features wine tasting at Decanter, one of Singapore’s most upscale wine bars with rare vintages showcased by the St. Regis wine sommelier, and a private six-course dinner at the chef’s table at the St. Regis Bangkok.
