Haute Event: Bang & Olufsen Opens at the Village at Gulfstream Park

Since its introduction to the world in 1925, Bang & Olufsen has provided the discerning technology consumer with the very best in audiovisual needs and simultaneous sleek design. The brand recently opened their new store at the grand Village at Gulfstream Park on Thursday, March 24. The grand opening, which included both a press preview and a party for more than 500 guests, introduced all haute consumers to the full line of B&O, as loyal customers refer to it. The company’s top executives even flew in from Chicago to celebrate the store’s grand aperture.

The new boutique isn’t the only exciting B&O-related debut in Miami; the company has also partnered with two exclusive luxury brands, Beaux Arts Hotel and Audi, to provide even more access its top-of-the line products. The Beaux Arts Hotel, a boutique “hotel within a hotel” inside the JW Marriott Marquis is the only hotel in the city to be completely outfitted with B&O products. In addition, Audi recently unveiled the Audi A8’s 2nd Generation Advanced Sound System during its grand opening. The sound system is equipped with 19 B&O speakers for the utmost sound quality available in any car. The sound engineers crafted the car’s woofers and subwoofers with an ICEpower amplifier, thus producing up to 1400 watts all while maintaining the integrity of the car’s design aspects. More advanced than the original sound system, meticulous care and time was taken to ensure that every passenger experiences the best in sound quality.

And for all you haute toy enthusiasts, B&O also recently launched its first iPad/iPod/iPhone docking station, the BeoSound 8. Besides its sleek appeal and versatility, it is one of the few docking stations on the market that is directly compatible with the iPad, without having to utilize any extra wires or adapters. The portable device can be mounted on a wall or simply sit on any surface. A special switch on the back of the station allows to change the bass depth so it never compromises the integrity of the sound, no matter where it is placed. The true magic is in the cone shaped speakers which give the sound  what has been deemed a 2D experience. The unique cone shaped speakers can also be customized to fit the design of any room, as the interchangeable plates are available in black, white, yellow, green, lavender blue and purple. And for those that know about sound quality, its effective frequency range is 38 – 20,To000 Hz, and frequency of that caliber is not available on any other device of its kind.

What’s best? B&O offers customized in-home demos to gauge what products are best suited for each home.
