Chicago Prime Steakhouse and Harper College Bigwigs Make a Public Final Four Wager

On Saturday, April 2, guests can join Chicago Prime Steakhouse as owner Andy-John Kalkounos and Dr. Ken Ender, President of Harper Community College, watch their alma maters, Butler University and Virginia Commonwealth University battle for a Final Four win.  To make things interesting, the two men decided on a friendly “Labor Wager” with the whole city as witnesses.

“When Andy-John and I realized our alma maters were facing off, we couldn’t resist turning it into an opportunity to support students in their education,” Dr. Ender said. “It’s the best kind of bet: Harper wins big either way.”

WAGER:

VCU Wins (Dr. Ken Ender’s alma mater):

– Chicago Prime Steakhouse will initiate and fund a student scholarship for the Culinary Arts program at Harper College.

– Chicago Prime Steakhouse owners George and Andy-John Kalkounos and Executive Chef Ruben Garcia will offer an educational tour and tasting of the restaurant to selected faculty and students of Harper’s Culinary Program.

Butler Wins (Andy-John Kalkounos’ alma mater):

– Dr. Ken Ender will suit up as a professional server and by reservation and request only, will serve tables for the evening’s shift at Chicago Prime Steakhouse (escorted, of course, by one of Prime’s best servers).

– All the proceeds of his gratuity will go towards the start of the Chicago Prime Scholarship Fund that will benefit future students.
