Is everything really bigger in Texas? If you use the two-night 8th annual “Leather and Laces” Party as a benchmark, then the answer is a resounding yes! Throw in the fact that football is the state’s unofficial religion and you have the recipe for the hottest Super Bowl party in the country for the 8th year in a row.
The two-night start studded fete was held at the Hotel ZaZa and sponsored by Axxis Sports & Entertainment. Festivities kicked off on Friday, Feb. 4 with Entourage’s Kevin Dillon and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger as hosts and continued onto Saturday, Feb. 5 when former “Girls Next Store” Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison reunited to host the second night of the annually sold out event.
The party proved to be the ultimate entertainment destination for Super Bowl XLV by featuring not only music industry heavyweights such as DJ Tendaji Lathan and DJ Automatic but also the jaw dropping acrobatics of Cirque USA and “the Madman-Mentalist” Jim Karol. Karol has gained fame for combing “extraordinary feats of mind coupled with zany comedy and dangerous stunts,” with his most impressive memory feat being his ability to recall the day of the week for every date all the way back to 1492.
Guests such as Adrian Grenier, Evander Holyfield and Kid-Rock also enjoyed a full array of big screens, plasma TV’s and a state of the art sound system and took in the “chic ultra sleek yet classy decor” of the opulent Mediterranean-styled hotel while nibbling on sushi provided by famed local sushi restaurant Blue Fish. Guests also enjoyed cocktails courtesy of event sponsors Ketel One Vodka and Crown Royal.
