1 Julia Baker Confections
Known for her exquisite custom wedding cakes and decadent gourmet chocolates, Julia Baker crafts such signature confections as truffles and hand-cut artisan chocolates in flavors like dark ganache, passion fruit, Irish creme, hazelnut truffle and others. Plus, they're all packaged in wrappings that are nearly just as beautiful as the chocolates (we said nearly). Baker just opened her new 520-square-foot boutique shop inside the Montelucia Resort, where you can also take a moment to enjoy wine, champagne, espresso and other specialty drinks while trying to decide which chocolates to take home with you. Julia Baker chocolates are also available for order online.

3 Cerreta Candy Company
Established 40 years ago by Jim Cerreta Sr., the Cerreta candy company is still a family-owned and -operated business. Loyalists go to Cerreta for everything from boxed chocolates and bars to French mint chocolates and sugar-free assortments, truffles and chocolate-coated creams. And Monday through Friday, you can even take a 30-minute tour of the Glendale factory to learn how caramels are wrapped and how the Cerreta family has been making its chocolates for generations. The company is famous for its French Mint Chocolates, but our favorites are the Belgian chocolate truffles -- double Dutch, raspberry and cappuccino flavors, yum!
