Haute Event: 15th Grand Slam for Children Benefit Concert

Stefanie Graf and Andre Agassi

The Andre Agassi Foundation for Education held its 15th Grand Slam For Children Benefit Concert at the Wynn Las Vegas on Saturday night. The event raised funds to help improve education for under-served youth in the Las Vegas community.

The star-studded event featured performances by Jennifer Hudson, Elton John, Rob Thomas, the  Canadian Tenors and Jason Mraz. Hudson performed the song “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” along with other original tunes. The musicians, along with a host of other celebrity guests and an amazing auction that included a trip to the Cayman Islands with Andre Agassi and Stefanie Graf, helped raise more than $9 million for Agassi’s Foundation for Education.

The annual event supports the foundation’s efforts to transform education through its signature project, the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy (Agassi Prep), a K-12 public charter school in Las Vegas that strives to provide children with a first-class education.

“We are honored that these international sensations are performing for this special 15th concert,” said Andre Agassi. “The support received through the foundation and from these renowned artists ultimately helps us make a difference in the lives of Agassi Prep students.”

Since 1995, the Grand Slam has raised nearly $94 million. The evening included a cocktail reception, gourmet dinner, live auction and benefit concert.
