This past weekend certainly was HOT in the Hamptons and so were the events.
Hamburg Kennedy Photographs launched summer salon in Southampton, hosted by Fabiola Beracasa, Fernanda Niven and Melody Weir. The event showcased masterpieces by the likes of Massimo Vitali, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Andy Warhol, Bert Stern, David LaChapelle, Roberto Dutesco, Peter Beard, as well as a special exhibition of select work from renowned photographer, author and film maker, Elliott Erwitt.
Guests such as The City’s Jonathan Alpeyrie, designer Geoffrey Bradfield, CNN’s Alina Cho, Organic Avenue’s Eric Cahan, Rory Hermelee, TR Pescod and Emma Snowden Jones admired the iconic photographs ranging from Marilyn Monroe portraits to Parisian cafes to dogs on a beach. A raffle for an Erwitt photograph was generously donated by Salon owner Marla Hamburg Kennedy.
A portion of sales benefited Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (“ARF”). A philanthropist and animal rights supporter, Hamburg Kennedy noted that “giving back to the community is essential – we will donate a significant portion of sales from this evening and others to ARF.”
In case you missed it, the salon is open Wednesdays- Sundays, from 11 am to 8pm and by appointment Mondays and Tuesdays. The salon will show a series of exhibitions throughout the summer until the end of November 2010.
