How PARAISO Continues to Elevate Miami as a Global Luxury Fashion Destination

Returning May 28-31, 2026 for its 22nd edition, PARAISO Miami Swim Week makes its strongest case yet for Miami Beach as a fashion capital in its own right.

There are cities that host fashion, and there are cities that define it. For more than two decades, PARAISO Miami Swim Week has quietly — and then unmistakably — pulled Miami Beach into the latter category. What began as a celebration of swim and resort wear has matured into the season’s most consequential gathering for the category, drawing buyers, press, and industry leaders from more than 60 countries to a stretch of sand that, increasingly, sets the tone for the entire resort calendar.

Part of that gravitational pull is geographic. PARAISO has long served as the entry point for international labels into the U.S. market — a position made possible by Miami’s singular fluency in Latin America, Europe, and Australia all at once. That reach has only deepened through alliances with SAND in the Middle East and Copenhagen International Fashion Fair, threading Miami through the broader global fashion conversation in a way few American cities can claim. The result is a week that feels distinctly local and unmistakably global, often within the same afternoon.

This year’s edition, unfolding May 28 through 31, is a study in how a fashion week can grow up without losing its sense of place. The expansive PARAISO tent at Collins Park remains the heartbeat — steps from the Atlantic, equal parts runway and salon — while the newly reimagined Delano Miami Beach reclaims its long-held role as the cultural anchor of the week. There is, as ever, an unmistakable Miami fluency to it: sun-warmed, unhurried, and entirely its own.

The Highlights

A few moments rising to the top of the schedule, with more programming expected as the week approaches:

Luli Fama’s 20th Anniversary. Two decades in, the Miami house remains one of the category’s most enduring — and its anniversary moment is shaping up to be a quiet highlight of the week.

The debut of PARAISO RISE at Kimpton Surfcomber. Staged on a runway built directly over the hotel’s historic Art Deco pool, RISE introduces the next generation of swim with a setting as considered as the lineup. May 28 – 30.

The sophomore edition of SIHOF: Swimwear Icons Hall of Fame. Held at 1111 Lincoln Road and co-chaired this year by MONDAY Swimwear’s Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman, the honors night has become, with remarkable speed, the week’s defining cultural moment — a rare evening dedicated to the architects of global swim fashion.

Delano Miami Beach, fully back in the conversation. The reimagined property hosts a slate of private programming, including the Ellen Von Unwerth photography exhibit paired with her Von Faith swim capsule — easily one of the most editorially compelling moments on the calendar.

The Nader Sisters x Agua Bendita Heatwave Truck. On Saturday, May 30, the roving pop-up marks the unofficial start of summer with complimentary suits and curated surprises — the kind of Miami-only moment that tends to find its way onto everyone’s feed.

Rielli Pop-Up. An intimate retail moment from the emerging label, open daily during swim week. Plymouth Hotel’s Seasons Cafe, May 26–29, 9AM–4PM.

A focused list of the houses we’ll be tracking closely on the runway and beyond: MONDAY Swimwear, SHAN, FAEKulani Kinis, SIGAL, and Melissa Odabash — a mix of category stalwarts and the names quietly shaping where swim goes next.

The runway shows will, as always, deliver their headlines. But the larger story is harder to miss: Miami is no longer adjacent to the global luxury fashion conversation. It is the conversation — and PARAISO is the room where it happens.
