If you haven’t made your Monday night plans, jump on the tastemakers bandwagon to celebrate the “Save the Eggs Benefit Cocktails 2010,” where celebrity blogger, Tia Walker of The Quest for “it,” will join in the Lance Armstrong Foundation Fight Against Cancer.

According to my official sources, “the Save the Eggs annual, traditionally a breast cancer and fertility related event, will no longer raise funds for national non-profit Fertile Hope as a result of its fundraisers. Lance Armstrong Foundation acquired Fertile Hope, one of its partners, in the late spring of 2009.” Walker, a two-year breast cancer survivor, who pledged to raise $10,000 explains, “As a breast cancer awareness advocate who is particularly sensitive to fertility issues as a result of chemo therapy, this year is very special.  The LAF is true inspiration to me.”

If you haven’t started getting ready yet, don’t worry, you still have time. Save The Eggs Benefit Co-chairs Peggie Walker, BoConcept Owner ShaoKao Cheng, and PR darling Emma Snowdon-Jones will start welcoming guests at 6:30 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. at the Chelsea BoConcept boutique on West 18th Street, home of the corporate sponsor.

“I am proud to join thousands of other LAF supporters around the world in raising much needed funds,” Walker said. “Together, we are helping people with cancer live life on their own terms.”  Funds raised through the Save the Eggs Benefit Cocktails 2010 will enable the LAF to continue helping people across the nation with the physical, emotional and practical challenges of cancer. Since its inception in 1997, the LAF has awarded more than $29 million to cancer survivorship programs and research.
