Calling All Bridal Beauties: Upcoming Trunk Shows at Saks Fifth Avenue

In time for Valentine’s Day and an inevitable array of weddings during spring and summer, Saks Fifth Avenue is hosting a whole list of bridal trunk shows starting tomorrow and running through mid-May.  Whether you’re recently engaged or think its fun to don a fake engagement ring and try on dresses with your girlfriends, these trunk shows shouldn’t be missed by anyone in search of some bridal shopping therapy.

Starting tomorrow through January 16, you’ll find Christos, whose collection is filled with simple silhouettes, beautiful details, and is fit for a princess.  For a more modern, but iconic bride look, head to Saks on February 4 – 6 for Kenneth Pool’s trunk show.  His dresses range from vivacious and funky to classic and strapless.

With gowns that would fit anywhere from the cathedral to city hall, stop by for Anna Maier/Ulla Maija’s trunk show on February 11 – 13.  Their dresses are beautiful, luxurious, and can fit women of all types, sizes, and styles.

On February 18 – 20, you’ll see Junko Yushioka’s collection, filled with innovative options like dresses with a more wispy that structured feel as well as knee-length dresses and intricately beaded gowns.  Be sure to check out the Toni gown – a robe-like gown with a fur collar and cuffs, it begs the question: is your wedding in Russia?

The quintessential bridal gown designer, Vera Wang, will be in attendance on March 4 – 6 followed by Oscar de la Renta on March 18 – 20.  De la Renta, known for his fabulous and classic dresses fit for red carpet events and opera openings, has a bridal collection beautiful enough to rid any young girl of her man issues.

The trunk shows round out with Reem Acra in March (25 – 27), Romona Keveza in April (15 – 17), and Angel Sanchez in May (6 – 8).  To see a full schedule of all the trunk shows, click here.
