LaChapelle Sells Home for $1.6 Million

Updated news on the Los Angeles real estate front. Famed photograph, David LaChapelle has finally sold his home on the Sunset strip area. The 1920s Spanish Style home sold for a total of $1.6 million.

The home boasts three bedrooms and 1 ½ bathrooms. The charming LA dwelling is equipped with an open floor plan of 1, 912 square feet and features a view of Chateau Marmont. Among its amenities the home also includes a living room fireplace, a remodeled kitchen and a blue-tile swimming pool, plus a private spa.

Surprisingly, the eccentric artist’s home was not a reflection of his work. Unlike his quirky photos, the home exuded a spacious and simple décor. Barry Peele of Sotheby’s International Realty, in Beverly Hills, posted the listing. Daniel P. Signani of Prudential California Reality also in Beverly Hills represented the buyer.
