Early on, I developed a passion for making others feel exceptional inside and out, which is why I chose a career in healthcare. My journey started at Oakland University when I became a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner. Professionally, I work alongside leading physicians that focus on Urology and sexual wellness. What is your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement in life has been starting my own successful business.
What is the future of your field?
One of the best aspects of my field is that there are endless possibilities in the aesthetic world. There are always new treatments coming out which always keep us up to date on current trends and our client's needs.
What is the biggest misconception about your field?
Many people feel that facial aesthetics, such as Botox or Dermal Fillers, are going to make them look unnatural. At MOXXI, we believe in restoring your natural beauty and enhancing all your greatest attributes.
What are your most requested procedures?
When we first started, Botox was our number one request. As of recently, we have purchased the Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling device, which has been an OUTSTANDING addition to our practice! We are also getting more and more requests for vaginal and penile platelet-rich plasma injections, which enhance sexual pleasure.
What surgical advancements are you most excited about?
MOXXI is one of the few select medical spas in Michigan that will offer the newest FDA-approved medication, QWO, to eliminate moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of females. We have been excited to see a lot more interest in body procedures to help tighten, tone, and smooth select areas. Accordingly, we have collaborated with Studio Sculpt to offer a multi-modal approach to these enhancements, including Morpheus8 to remodel the collagen and tighten skin, Emsculpt NEO to build muscle and burn fat, and now QWO to eliminate cellulite. We have also ventured into sexual wellness and are so excited to help our clients explore their full potential.
What are you best known for?
Education. Education. Education.
When our clients walk in the door, they are very vulnerable, scared, and have a lot of questions. For some, this may be their first treatment, or it could be their 20th. With that being said, each person that walks out of our room thanks us for answering questions, educating, listening, and providing them with an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, there are a lot of medical spas that don’t make enough time for their clients, but we do.
What is your most memorable patient reaction?
Some people struggle with everyday challenges that may cause a lack of confidence.
Recently, we had a client come in for a two-week follow-up after Botox. After she sat in the chair, she became very emotional and thanked us for making her feel beautiful and more confident. She noted she has been struggling with her image for many years (even seeking professional help) but has finally gained the motivation she was seeking to live her best life.
With that being said, what we do at MOXXI is not only life-changing for our clients, but for us as well.
What sets your practice apart?
It's our passion for what we do.
As mentioned before, a lot of medical spas don't make time for their clients. We truly want what's best for them and we make sure it's done to their satisfaction.
What do you love most about your profession?
As a nurse, there is no greater feeling than to help and care for someone in a time of need. I love being the one to have a positive effect on my patient's lives, and also love building relationships with them throughout the years.
What is your career-defining procedure?
I wish I can say there has been one that really sticks out, but every procedure we do defines who we are as a practice. From Botox to our vaginal rejuvenation laser (Voitva), each procedure holds a special meaning to our providers.
What new services are you excited to offer?
At MOXXI, we are SO excited to offer the newest medication to eliminate cellulite, which is QWO. We are also VERY excited for our Morpheus8 (radiofrequency microneedling device) and Votiva (vaginal rejuvenation laser) by InMode.
