Minimally & Non-Invasive Waist Cinching Treatments You Should Know About

All bodies are beautiful, but there are some things that we are just born with, and with all the dieting and exercise in the world you still may need some help to reach our goals. While no two bodies are alike, people who are born with a more straight or athletic figure may be looking to attain more of an hourglass shape. There is a solution for this and through working with the right expert, you can achieve the desired results without having to go under the knife.

Haute Beauty sits down with New York City-based body expert Dr. Sachin Shridharani to learn more about his 2 most recommended in-office treatments to cinch the waist and his approach to help patients reveal the figure they want.

HB: Describe your approach when a patient comes to you wanting a more hourglass figure.

The approach is to understand what it is that is taking away from the overall aesthetic appearance. Does the patient have slight remaining fat that gives them a square/straight transition from the chest to the pelvis? Does the patient have a nice abdomen, but pronounced "hip dip" and no buttocks volume? Does the patient have the appropriate muscle definition?

HB: What kind of things do you take into consideration and what should a potential patient know if they would like any of these treatments?

Anatomy, patient expectations, and transparency in that most of these procedures that are non-invasive/minimally invasive are temporary. The outcomes can last for a few months and up to a few years.

CoolTone

CoolTone is a non-invasive body contouring device that addresses fat reduction, muscle toning, and skin tightening. “CoolTone uses high-frequency electromagnetic technology to stimulate muscle contractions in a manner that cannot be achieved by voluntary contractions or normal exercise,” says Dr. Shridharani.

“CoolTone builds muscle and improves the definition in the abdomen and waist for the waist-cinching effect,” he adds.

Downtime:

“This body contouring treatment offers a safe, non-invasive modality with virtually no pain and zero downtime. CoolTone technology is unique in that it addresses a challenging concern within a single treatment - muscle toning. At LUXURGERY, a body contouring treatment (CoolTone) will require only 30 minutes per treatment area,” adds Dr. Shridharani.

Sculptra

“Sculptra injections for nonsurgical body contouring are used to volumize the outer hips and thighs for an athletic look,” says Dr. Shridharani.

Sculptra Aesthetic is an injectable that is used to restore fat loss in various areas of the body. Sculptra Aesthetic is made from a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body as it works to replace lost collagen. Poly-L-lactic acid has been used safely for decades in dissolvable stitches and as a facial injectable since 1999.

Downtime:

There is little to no downtime associated with Sculptra injections. “You should expect a little bit of swelling and slight redness with possible bruising, which seems to resolve/go away in a matter of hours to few days,” says Dr. Shridharani

HB: What is the cost of both of these procedures?

Both treatments cost in the thousands of dollars, depending on what is needed.
