HB: What is Vivace Micro-needling?

Vivace Micro-needling is a minimally invasive, non-surgical and FDA cleared treatment for the skin that stimulates the natural production of collagen. It is the newest generation of radiofrequency micro-needling that is shown to be effective in reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

HB: How does Vivace Micro-needling work?

The combination of radiofrequency (heat) and micro-needling works by using small needles to pierce the top layers of the skin and delivering the radiofrequency energy to different depths of the skin, which in turn causes collagen production. As your skin reacts to this “controlled trauma” that the device delivers, the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars is reduced.

HB: Who is the best candidate for the procedure?

Vivace RF micro-needling can benefit all skin types and tones. The procedure is ideal for individuals who seek improvement of fine lines, wrinkles and even acne scarring.

HB: How does this treatment compare to others?

Vivace is an excellent treatment for individuals with mild to moderate signs of aging, including fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, acne scars. It is an excellent way to improve skin texture and tone with minimal downtime. Other treatments that give similar results can have more “downtime” whereas with Vivace the downtime is minimal.

HB: What does recovery look like?

The recovery or downtime to Vivace RF micro-needling is minimal. There will be redness to the area treated for roughly one to two hours. Topical serums and/or PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) are usually applied after the treatment to give additional skin benefits and collagen stimulation. One can reapply makeup after six hours, but ideally not until the next day.
