The Musee Lalique opens in France
Nicknamed the “Rodin of the transparent” by Maurice Rostand, artist René Lalique created timeless, graceful art.
On July 2nd, the Musee Lalique is scheduled to open in France. Unique in Europe and deeply rooted in its history, this new museum which has been endorsed as a Musée de France, will display more 650 pieces in a modern exhibition space designed by Ducks Scéno and the Agence Wilmotte.

Mister Collins Opens at ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa
Bal Harbour is not known as a bona fide dining destination. Thankfully Mister Collins is beginning the trend for good restaurants in the area. Haven't heard of Mister Collins yet?
The restaurant quietly opened inside of the ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa this month and offers guests the very best in casual American fare in a luxurious space. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the small, but cozy space boasts floor to ceiling windows, walnut wood floors, plush seating, and mellow music by John Mayer and Michael Buble. The menu focuses on fresh, local, and high quality ingredients and includes such traditional favorites like pork chops, scallops, and home made pretzels which can be paired with an eclectic wine list. For dessert, their claim to fame is the rich peanut butter pie. Because the menu uses seasonal products, some items will change according to their availability. Currently, corn is the product of choice and can even be found in one of the dessert items, Coconut Ice Cream with Candied Corn.

The comfy-chic clothing line Fighting Eel will open its second retail location on Oahu in September. The new 1,300-square-foot boutique will be located in Kailua next to Whole Foods Market, which is slated to open later this year.

Moscow Film Festival Kicks off With the World Premiere of Transformers
The world premiere of Transformers: Dark of the Moon opened the 33rd Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF) last night at the Pushkinsky Theater, Russia's main film venue. Several stars of the film walked MIFF's red carpet (which was green this year) for the premiere, including Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey, John Malkovich (who received a lifetime achievement award at the opening ceremony) and Tyrese Gibson, as well as director Michael Bay and producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce.

Prada Hits the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to Lackluster Response
Prada hit the Hong Kong stock market today and, while the Asian luxury consumer market has no problem shelling out the bucks for the Italian brand's coveted goods, there are concerns that Prada’s stock is overpriced. While the firm had said previously that the stock price may rise as high as HK$48, the company sold 423.2 million shares at HK$39.50 ($5) to raise a total of $2.13 billion – less than was expected.
