Haute Event: Miami City Ballet’s Upper Room Celebrate End of 25th Season

Miami’s most cultured young professionals celebrated the ending of Miami City Ballet‘s 25th season on Wednesday, June 1, at Villa 221. Guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails by Veev and noshed on tasty treats by the local food truck, Jefe’s Original Fish Taco & Burgers.  The haute gathering was hosted by committee members: Jordan Dresnick, Melissa Fernandez, Valeria Gadala Maria, Megan Harmon, Evaggelia Hatzimanolis, Annie Hernandez, Kai Jacobs, Liza Lesser, Judy Lara, Michelle McClaskey, Sean McCormick, Lee Metz, Jane Muir, Bette An Schlossberg, Jessica Shults, Paree Tasilmi, Brenda Vargas, and Amy Wiborg.

The 2011-2012 season is bound to be even bigger and better with the World Premiere ballet by Liam Scarlett and the return of two audience favorites, the full-length productions of Giselle and Coppelia, as well as the holiday season classic, George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker. The haute members of the Upper Room also receive lots of perks. For instance, renewing members received a complimentary day pass to The Standard Spa. Membership includes tickets to three main stage performances at The Arsht Center, post-performance parties and networking opportunities, and discount offers on select performances. The group makes it a priority to shake things up at South Florida’s chicest affairs, so it’s always bound to be a good time with them.
