Everything can be seen from on top – the small streets, the cars, the different buildings, the people and the sea surrounding the city of Beirut at Le Gray’s trendy restaurant and bar – Cherry on the Rooftop. One of the city’s hottest venues, I had heard many rave of the place even in Dubai. So during a weekend in Beirut, I ventured up the hotel myself to enjoy the renowned comforts of this popular lounge bar.

While I’ve tried many an Italian restaurant in Dubai, especially given my love for the country and the cuisine, Splendido’s ambiance in Dubai Marina’s Ritz Carlton Hotel far outdoes most. Elegant, serene and replicating that of old Italian gentility, the restaurant has a special old-fashioned charm that is not common to most venue’s in the city.

A step inside the Yas Viceroy’s chic urban spa ESPA reveals a modern interpretation of Middle Eastern spa rituals. Set out in two floors, the spa offers a sensory journey through a tranquil and soothing spaces. A first glance is mesmerizing and prompts the visitor to further explore. I was there to try ESPA’s Signature Treatment: the Yas Detox – meant to calm, relax and purify.

A vibrant and warm ambiance encompasses the space of the Yas Viceroy’s Southeast Asian restaurant Noodle Box. Modern floral prints on the walls lined with cushions radiate a light and joyful mood immediately whisking guests away from the modern structure of the Yas Viceroy. I stopped at Noodle Box for a brisk lunch in order to experience their Southeast Asian hits.
