The city is back in full swing! Last night, at the new Park Avenue Summer, I dined on Mediterranean Bronzino and the well-known Chocolate Cube, which was to die for. I also attended the opening event for the J. Crew bridal boutique on Madison Avenue. But dinner and one boutique opening were not the curtain call of the evening. I then swung by the Lacoste store on Fifth Avenue. The brand co-hosted a fete, along with the USA Network and “Vanity Fair,” to celebrate the second season of “Royal Pains.”

There are few who emerged from the Great Recession unscathed. CEO and socialite Alexandra Lebenthal addresses the effects that the recent tough economy has had on four Upper East Side socialites in her debut novel, “The Recessionistas.” I had the pleasure of sitting next to Alexandra at last week’s “Sex & the City 2” screening at the Paris Theater. As the president and CEO of Lebenthal & Co, and its wealth management division, Alexandra & James Inc., she is quite connected with the elite in NYC, and serves on several prominent boards.

On my way to a brunch in Soho, I stood dead in my tracks as I spotted designers Wayne Anderson and Shauna Heather Hull, the dynamic duo behind the fabulous Vita New York jewelry label.
