World Oceans Day 2011 was held earlier this month and on Thursday June 16, La Mer and Oceana honored our world’s oceans by hosting a private celebratory brunch at Saks Fifth Avenue.

For $1,000 a pop guests get a frozen treat made with Clase Azul Ultra – Extra Anejo Tequila tequila and 24k gold flakes. Tequila fans may already be familiar with Clase Azul Ultra – Extra Anejo Tequila which was first introduced in 2007. The tequila, sold in very limited quantities, is aged for a minimum of six years in oak casks previously used for sherry and retails at about $1,500 a bottle.

Brickell residents will soon be looking even more svelte and strong as the much awaited Bikram Brickell Hot Yoga Miami opens this weekend with an invite only grand opening event on Saturday.

The opening festivities kick off with the founder of Bikram Yoga, Guru Bikram Choudry performing a traditional Indian lamp lighting ceremony symbolizing luck on Saturday night. The evening then moves from the studio to Dolores but you can call me Lolita for a reception hosted by the yoga studio owner Nacho Cano from the Spanish band Mecano.

A real who’s who of South Florida showed up for the preview event of the Design District’s latest furniture and design showroom, MADinitaly. On April 27, Fabrizio Cocchi’s latest designs were introduced at the showroom located at 4 Northeast 39th Street in front of guests including famed Tod’s baron Diego Della Valle and his wife Barbara, La Perla heiress Martina Borgomanero and husband Fabian Basabe, and a few of Haute Living’s Haute 100 like Iran Issa Khan and Miky Grendene.
