La Belle Vie, the colossal residence on St. Cloud Road in Bel-Air built for philanthropist Iris Cantor by her husband, Bernard Gerald Cantor, sold last week for $40 million. Though after two years on the market, the home sold for less than its original asking price of $53 million, the sale was one of the highest this year in Los Angeles County.
