Jean De Merry Celebrate 10th Anniversary with JDM TEN Charity Event

On Wednesday, June 8^th celebrities and tastemakers all gathered at Jean De Merry in Los Angeles to celebrate the luxury interior design showroom’s 10^th year anniversary with a premier charity event called the JDM TEN. In honor of the event, ten creative influencers each designed an original item of furniture, case good or decorative art piece for Jean de Merry. Each of them unveiled their limited edition designs with 100% of the net sales proceeds going toward the charity of the artists’ choice. Guest designers included: Katherine Heigl, Karolina Kurkova, Costello Tagliapietra, Kara Mann, Irene Neuwirth, Gregory Parkison, Joel Morrison, Joe Dahan of Joe’s Jeans, Oliver Furth and  Molly Isaksen.

The project, “JDM-TEN,” was conceived as the synthesis of what the Jean de Merry brand stands for. The duo, Jean and Christian, wanted to do something different, something that could really commemorate a decade of their creativity, craft and, as Jean says, “the art of collaboration which has ultimately been integral to our success as a brand.”  Jean de Merry pieces are meant to evoke a taste of modern design in traditional spaces as much as they provide unique quality and timelessness to the contemporary.

From supermodel Karolina Kurkovaʼs sculptural floor lamp inspired by “motherhood and nature,” to Costello Tagliapietraʼs biomorphic, glam-surrealist throne, these designers have definitely delivered exciting, innovative forms for a brand that has always pursued every step to keep art alive in furniture design.

The JDM-TEN show will be running now and through September 2nd at Jean de Merry’s Melrose Place showroom in LA. Purchases can also be made at JDM’s NYC flagship at the D & D, nationally/internationally at JDM represented showrooms, and through JeandeMerry.com.
