In honor of Met curator Andrew Bolton, both Susan Casden and Cameron Silver, members of the Los Angeles’ Friends of the Costume Institute, hosted their second annual dinner at Jose Andres’ Bazaar.

The 2010 Caron Treatment Center’s New York City Gala was held at Cipriani 42nd St. and brought together names like Dr. Oz, Art Garfunkel, Patti LaBelle, and Paul Hokemeyer, the evening raised awareness for alcohol and drug addiction, as well as honored those who give time and resources to aiding others in need.

New Museum swarmed with a crowd of over 600 guests, a blend of pioneers in the worlds of art, media, and technology. Marc Jacobs invited numerous celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Elle MacPherson, and Daisy Lowe; to come celebrate his new flagship boutique for Louis Vuitton located on New Bond Street Maison in London, as well as to model his Autumn 2010 collection. The boutique boasts three stories and was designed by Peter Marino; it could be considered the most luxurious Louis Vuitton store worldwide.

As always, Ann and Gordon Getty opened the doors to their beautiful home for another elegant evening filled with charity on May 13. This time guests gathered in support of UCSF’s Pediatric Epilepsy Center, where they enjoyed the “cult wine” fundraising dinner.

On May 25, recording artist Janelle Monae thrilled audience members with an exclusive live performance presented on the rooftop of the W Hollywood; the show was part of the W Hotel’s Symmetry Live music series.

In support of amfAR, the elegant Italian brand Marlowe welcomed fashionistas and debutantes in the Bay Area to celebrate “amfAR’s San Francisco 2010 Gala,” hosted by Jenna & Bryant Hunt, alongside Maggie Rizer & Alex Mehran. The stylish soiree included a cocktail reception in which guests enjoyed a day of fashion in the luxurious boutique.

Born with severe dyslexia, world-renowned artist Cassandria Blackmore transformed her disability into a tool she has utilized for several years, developing a style all her own in which she essentially paints backwards, even her signature is backwards. Her distinct use of glass as canvass and her ability to think outside of the typical modes of painting and creating art, she has established herself as a premier artist and has been recognized with various awards.
