Dolce & Gabbana Returns to Montauk With the Ultimate Italian Takeover
If the Hamptons has a summer uniform, this year it arrives in blue and white — and it’s very much Italian. Dolce & Gabbana has returned to Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa for its annual DG Resort creative takeover, transforming the easternmost edge of Long Island into a scene straight from the sun-drenched shores of Southern Italy.

The 2026 takeover centers on the Blu Mediterraneo print — a sweeping design that draws from the tradition of hand-painted majolica tiles and the saturated blues of the Mediterranean coastline. The pattern has been applied across the resort’s beach club and lounge areas, turning the already iconic Montauk setting into an immersive Italian holiday, with the Atlantic standing in for the Amalfi Coast.

Completing the takeover is an exclusive DG pop-up that reinterprets the same palette through a vertical stripe motif, a nod to the Italian Riviera’s classic beach aesthetic. The shop carries a curated edit of Dolce & Gabbana apparel and accessories designed specifically for summer — the kind of pieces that look exactly right against an oceanfront backdrop, whether that backdrop is Positano or Montauk.
Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa itself arrives this summer in exceptional form. The only luxury year-round resort in the Hamptons situated directly on the beach, the property features 158 rooms, suites, and beachfront cottages, a newly debuted Dune Lounge & Café, the new gigi’s montauk restaurant, and the resort’s 30,000-square-foot Seawater Spa — one of the most comprehensive thalassotherapy and wellness destinations on the East Coast.

For Dolce & Gabbana, the return to Montauk is consistent with the Maison’s broader vision: that summer itself is a creative medium, and that luxury travel and Italian style belong in the same conversation. Founders Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have always treated the summer season as an extension of the runway — and the Hamptons, for another year, is where that philosophy lands.
