The Hamptons Are Collecting Lina Condes. All Eyes on Art Miami.
In the Hamptons, where contemporary architecture, exceptional design, and significant private art collections intersect, the sculptural works of Miami-based artist Lina Condes are finding a distinctive place. Several of her works have entered private collections across the region, ranging from monumental outdoor installations to smaller sculptures incorporated into contemporary residential interiors.
Particularly noteworthy is the sustained interest of one of America’s prominent private art collectors, who has acquired works by Condes for three consecutive years through Fremin Gallery, located on 23rd Street in New York’s Chelsea art district. The collection now includes three monumental-scale sculptures by the artist.
In the contemporary art market, such recurring acquisitions are worth noting, particularly when they involve ambitious large-scale works. They reflect an ongoing engagement with an artist’s practice and highlight the role of established galleries in developing lasting relationships between artists and collectors.

A Growing Presence in the Hamptons
The installations themselves demonstrate the versatility of Condes’ sculptural language. A mirror-polished stainless steel golfer stands beside a private putting green, its reflective surface interacting with the surrounding landscape. An electric-blue sculptural figure creates a striking contrast against minimalist residential architecture, while a vivid red wall-mounted composition introduces rhythm and movement into a contemporary interior.

Her smaller-scale works are equally distinctive. A polished stainless steel tennis player, characterized by its golden racket and geometric construction, illustrates how Condes’ visual vocabulary translates into more intimate architectural settings.
Together, these placements reflect an expanding presence in the Hamptons’ collecting landscape, where sculpture is experienced not only as an independent artwork but also in dialogue with architecture, landscape, and everyday life.

Beyond the Human Form
At the center of Condes’ artistic practice is an exploration of the psychological states that shape human behavior. Working with geometric structures, industrial materials, and highly polished surfaces, she reduces the human figure to its essential elements while preserving a sense of movement, emotion, and identity.
Her athletic sculptures are not simply celebrations of physical performance. They explore the invisible forces behind achievement: concentration, discipline, precision, resilience, and the relationship between mind and body. Rather than pursuing anatomical perfection, Condes focuses on the psychological state of the individual, translating internal tension and emotional energy into a restrained geometric vocabulary.
The simplicity of her forms presents a particular sculptural challenge: expressing complex emotional states through a limited number of straight lines, structural connections, and carefully considered proportions. The result is a sculptural language that feels simultaneously futuristic and deeply human.
A Defining Moment During Miami Art Week
Condes’ expanding presence in private collections forms part of a broader artistic trajectory. During Miami Art Week in December 2025, Condes joined forces with internationally recognized artist RETNA for a collaborative exhibition that brought together two distinct artistic languages.
The presentation featured a monumental installation — RETNA’fied iSculpture Sphinx — combining Condes’ recognizable sculptural geometry with RETNA’s signature calligraphic language, exploring the relationship between physical form, language, and human consciousness.

Curated by Maria Abramenko and supported by partners including JaneFinds, Flaveur Miami, Charter Jet One, and BluWater.VC, the unveiling brought together art collectors and members of Miami’s creative and luxury communities.
The collaboration represented an artistic dialogue between two approaches to abstraction: Condes’ exploration of the human figure through geometric structures and RETNA’s transformation of language into a distinctive visual system.

From the Hamptons to Art Miami: What Comes Next
As Condes’ sculptures continue to establish their presence within private collections, attention is turning back to Miami, where the international art community will gather again this December. With a new work anticipated at Art Miami 2026, the artist’s next presentation offers an opportunity to see how her exploration of human form, emotion, and contemporary materials continues to develop.

Her recent trajectory brings together sustained collector interest, significant sculptural installations, and collaborations that place her practice in dialogue with other contemporary artistic languages. For Condes, whose work examines the relationship between physical structure and inner consciousness, the movement of her sculptures between exhibitions, architectural environments, and private collections offers a broader context in which her work can be experienced.
As Art Miami approaches, attention turns to the next evolution of Lina Condes’ sculptural language.
