On the heels of yesterday’s exhilarating race in Miami, the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix isn’t slowing down. South Florida Motorsports, the race’s promoter, has just announced a major expansion of its Paddock Club at Miami International Autodrome — a 115,000 square foot permanent extension that will be ready in time for the 2027 race and will cement Miami’s place as one of the most premium hospitality destinations on the entire Formula 1 calendar.

The news was revealed by Managing Partner Tom Garfinkel at the Autosport Business Forum in Miami on May 1, 2026 — and its scope is significant. The new structure stretches from the start/finish straight all the way toward Turn 1, with tiered seating across three stories offering views of the cars charging off the grid and sweeping through the opening corner. Turns 2 and 3 will also be visible from sections of the building. Including the rooftop, the expansion brings total Paddock Club capacity to approximately 9,200 guests across 305,000 square feet of hospitality space — making it one of the largest of its kind in Formula 1.

For a race that has built its reputation on delivering an experience as compelling off the track as on it, the investment makes complete sense. “We wanted to not only make the Paddock Club bigger to meet demand, but differentiate the experience into something new and unique,” said Garfinkel. The expansion is being designed in partnership with HOK+ROSSETTI, the firm behind several upgrades to Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Open, and the Miami Dolphins’ Baptist Health Training Complex — a proven track record in exactly this kind of high-stakes, high-visibility venue work.

The expansion also establishes a permanent year-round home for Precision Drive Club, the exclusive members’ club that has become one of the race weekend’s most coveted destinations since its launch in 2024. Dedicated facilities will include a workshop with direct pit lane access, coaching and simulator labs, race control, a private members’ lounge, and meeting rooms. A permanent kitchen will anchor PDC’s culinary program, with offerings from a selection of renowned restaurant partners — continuing the elevated dining experience that has helped define the club from the beginning.

There’s no denying Miami has raised the bar for what a Formula 1 race weekend can look like. South Florida Motorsports has been named Promoter of the Year twice — by Formula 1 following the 2024 season and by the Autosport Awards following 2025 — and with a race agreement now running through 2041, the longest for any race on the calendar at the time of signing, the commitment to getting it right is clearly long-term. The Paddock Club expansion is the latest proof of that.
