Haute Living welcomed an exceptional group of guests for an intimate culinary experience with Chef Daniel Boulud at Le Gratin. The evening was sponsored by J.P. Chef Daniel opened the night with a warm welcome, sharing the inspiration behind the dishes prepared for the event. He spoke to his longstanding fondness for J.P. Morgan and congratulated the firm on its new global headquarters in New York, calling it a remarkable milestone for the city. His remarks set a celebratory tone that carried through the evening.

He then invited Kim Bonnani, Regional Director at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, to speak. Bonnani welcomed guests on behalf of the firm and highlighted J.P. Morgan Wealth Management’s sponsorship of the evening, reinforcing their continued commitment to community and meaningful experiences.

Next, Cindy Goodrich, Chief Marketing Officer of Empathy, addressed guests. As a co-sponsor of the event, she spoke about Empathy’s mission and how its services provide guidance, resources, and support for those navigating bereavement and emotionally challenging times. Her message brought a real sense of sincerity to the evening.

Guests then settled into a gorgeous seated dinner inside Le Gratin, where the warm glow of vintage lighting, tiled walls, and classic bistro details set the tone for an intimate evening. The room felt inviting and softly lit, with crisp white linens, fresh florals, and a timeless French ambiance that paired beautifully with Chef Daniel’s menu for the night.

The evening’s culinary experience opened with an assortment of canapés, including Beet Tartelette with Horseradish, Cheese Gougères, Smoked Salmon on Buckwheat Roll, Chicken Rillettes with Mustard and Tarragon, and a charcuterie board featuring Pâté, Terrine, Parisian Ham, and Saucisson.

The plated dinner began with Tartare de Thon à la Parisienne, a Parisian-style tuna tartare with mustard dressing, capers, cornichons, and herbs. For the mid course, guests were served Pâtes à la Truffe et aux Champignons d’Automne, a fall truffle and mushroom orecchiette pasta.

For the entrée, the menu featured Duo de Bœuf à la Carotte et Sauce Bordelaise, a braised short rib and tenderloin with carrots and bordelaise sauce, or Loup de Mer Grillé, a grilled branzino with green beans and lemon beurre blanc. The table also shared two classic sides: Gratin Dauphinois Comme Marie, a creamy potato gratin from Chef Daniel’s mother’s recipe, and Haricots Verts à la Ciboule, green beans with scallion butter.

Dessert closed the evening with Tarte Tatin, served warm with rum raisin ice cream, alongside mignardises for the table.
