Category: Entrepreneurs

Company: SBE Entertainment Group

Industry: Entertainment/Real Estate

What Made Him Haute: In 2006 he was the youngest executive to be named one of the “Top 100 Most Powerful People in Southern California,” and his empire has only continued to grow. From nightclubs, hotels and casinos to real estate, finance and films, Nazarian has mastered them all.

What Makes Him Haute Now: Sam Nazarian’s latest undertaking, The Redbury Hotel, is no longer nameless and as reported earlier by HotelChatter, will be open for business come Sept. 1.  The Redbury, taking over the former Palihouse Hollywood at 1717 Vine St., is a Bohemian complement to SLS. The Redbury is already a member of the Preferred Hotels collection and will offer 57 residential-like “flats” dressed in a ensemble of traditional English style mixed with ethnic Old World charm, suiting discerning business travelers who revere the arts, music, fashion, and entertainment realms. Amenities will include a record player and vinyl collection, 24-hour room service from Executive Chef Daniel Elmaleh, guest library, and Apple iPad, custom pet bedding and grocery delivery upon-request. Chef Elmaleh will be running the hotel’s casual Mediterranean restaurant, Cleo. The boutique hotel leaves little to be desired, because Nazarian wouldn’t have it any other way.
